'Power: Origins' Teaser Introduces Young Ghost, Young Tommy and Kanan’s Return

‎Starz has revealed an early teaser and first-look images for its upcoming Power prequel series, Power: Origins, giving fans their first glimpse of young versions of two iconic characters — Ghost and Tommy Egan.

‎Released on Thursday, Starz described the preview as an “early teaser” for the latest addition to the Power franchise. Power: Origins serves as the direct sequel series to Power Book III: Raising Kanan, with Sascha Penn, who created and ran the writers room on Raising Kanan, returning as showrunner.

‎Young Ghost and Tommy’s Journey Begins
‎
‎In the original Power series, Omari Hardwick played Ghost, whose real name is James St. Patrick, while Joseph Sikora portrayed Tommy. Power: Origins will explore the early stories of these characters before they became the figures fans know.

‎According to Starz, the series will follow Ghost, Tommy, and Kanan as “ambitious young entrepreneurs on the rise, determined to make their mark on the streets of New York City.”

‎Season one of Power: Origins remains in production in New Jersey.
‎
‎Power Franchise Expands With More Spinoffs
‎
‎Power: Origins becomes the fourth spinoff in the Power franchise. Starz has also recently greenlit a fifth spinoff titled Power: Legacy.
‎
‎Joseph Sikora will reprise his role for Power: Legacy, while Michael Rainey Jr. will return as Tariq St. Patrick, Ghost’s son.
‎
‎The Power Universe series are executive produced by original Power creator and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp through her production company, End of Episode. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson executive produces through G-Unit Film and Television, while Mark Canton executive produces through Canton Entertainment.
‎
‎Chris Selak and Pete Chatmon also serve as executive producers on Power: Origins, which is produced by Lionsgate Television.
