As the interview concluded, Hokit made a surprising statement, telling the audience: “Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America?”
Videos shared online captured mixed reactions from those in attendance. Some members of the crowd appeared to laugh, while others seemed surprised by the remark.
Rogan chose not to respond directly to the comment. Instead, he concluded the segment by saying: “Ladies and gentlemen, Josh Hokit.”
The event was streamed on Paramount+, whose parent company has faced scrutiny following its settlement of a lawsuit with President Donald Trump regarding a 60 Minutes interview. The company has also drawn attention over recent departures at the CBS newsmagazine, including respected journalist Scott Pelley and longtime executive producer Tanya Simon.
Several prominent figures attended the UFC event alongside President Donald Trump and Melania Trump. Among those present were UFC CEO Dana White, Ari Emanuel, CEO and executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings, comedians Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe, Vice President JD Vance, Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Ivanka Trump, country singer Alexis Wilkins, Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek, and boxer Tyson Fury.
Hokit’s victory and subsequent remarks became one of the most discussed moments of the night following UFC Freedom 250 at the White House.
