‎Returning to the set after three years felt nostalgic for Sweeney, who expressed deep appreciation for the familiar faces behind the camera. “It’s mostly the same crew, so it feels like I’m going home to family,” she said. “I’ve grown up with them. I was 20 when I did the pilot, so being able to see a lot of the same people, it feels very comforting.”
‎HBO has confirmed that Euphoria’s third season will be its final one, but Sweeney declined to comment on any potential continuation. “I cannot confirm any information,” she stated when asked about the possibility of a fourth season.
‎Jacob Elordi, who plays Nate Jacobs, also shared his excitement for the upcoming episodes during a recent appearance at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles. “It was incredible, man,” he said. “It was incredibly liberating. I got to play something so sort of far out from what I’ve done before.”
‎Elordi praised creator Sam Levinson for crafting a season that is “incredibly clever and cinematic,” adding that audiences are in for something special. He explained that even the cast members are unaware of one another’s full storylines. “Everybody shoots at different storylines. I had a really singular storyline,” he said. “You don’t know what the other storylines are. It’s like FBI files. So it’s great because I’ll get to consume the show the same way that everybody else does as a fan.”
‎Sweeney echoed that sentiment, saying, “I feel like I’m going to get to watch it with everyone else.”
‎Following the completion of Euphoria, Sweeney is shifting focus to her next major project—portraying legendary actress Kim Novak in Scandalous. Directed by Colman Domingo, the film explores Novak’s 1957 interracial relationship with entertainer Sammy Davis Jr., portrayed by David Jonsson.
‎“I’m going to meet with her,” Sweeney shared. “I’m going to work with some movement coaches and dialect coaches, watch and study all of her films. I’m really excited.”
