‎Lil Nas X in Treatment After Arrest and Felony Charges, Attorney Confirms

Lil Nas X is receiving treatment following his arrest and felony charges in August, according to his attorney. The rapper, whose real name is Montero Hill, was taken into custody after an incident on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, where he was reportedly found nearly nude and appearing delirious.

‎Authorities initially brought the artist to a hospital for a possible overdose before he spent the weekend in jail. He later entered a not guilty plea to four felony charges, including battery and resisting a law enforcement officer.

‎On Monday, Lil Nas X’s legal team appeared at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. After the hearing, his attorney Drew Findling addressed the press, stating that the rapper is focused on his well-being. “We’re doing what is best for Montero from a personal standpoint and a professional standpoint, but most importantly for his well-being,” Findling explained. He emphasized that the rapper is supported by his family and team as he undergoes care.

‎The court also modified the conditions of Lil Nas X’s release to accommodate inpatient treatment. Judge Shellie Samuels ruled that he is permitted to remain out of state provided he continues receiving care.
‎
‎Lil Nas X was released last month after posting $75,000 bail. Following his release, he reassured fans through Instagram Stories, calling the experience “terrifying” but assuring them that he would be alright.

‎The rapper’s next court date is scheduled for November 18.
