The competition that launched Katseye featured over 100,000 contestants worldwide, narrowing down after 12 weeks to the final lineup: Sophia, Daniela, Megan, Lara, Manon, and Yoonchae. Since then, the group has cultivated a devoted fanbase and achieved international recognition.
Their official debut arrived in 2024 with the EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), powered by the viral success of “Touch.” By June 2025, they returned with their second project, Beautiful Chaos, featuring tracks such as “Gnarly,” “Gabriela,” and “M.I.A.” The release signaled a new creative chapter, with each member’s individuality shaping the sound and message of the record.
Sophia: The Leader
Leader Sophia Laforteza, 21, grew up in Manila, Philippines, and has been singing since the age of three. She describes music as her “first love” and emphasizes the strong bond shared within the group.
Daniela: The Dancer and Cultural Voice
At 20, Daniela Avanzini of Atlanta, Georgia, draws from her Cuban–Venezuelan roots. Dance has been central to her artistry since childhood, and her Spanish-language verse on “Gabriela” highlights her cultural influence within Katseye’s music.
Megan: The Performer
Megan Skiendiel, 18, hails from Honolulu, Hawaii. With a background in modeling, acting, and ukulele playing, she is now known for her magnetic stage presence and high-energy choreography.
Lara: The Trailblazer
Nineteen-year-old Lara Raj grew up in New York and Los Angeles. As an Indian American and openly queer performer, she champions representation in the pop industry while bringing authenticity to Katseye’s sound.
Manon: The Multicultural Artist
At 23, Manon Bannerman brings Swiss, Italian, and Ghanaian heritage into her artistry. Her pride in cultural identity and commitment to visibility resonate with fans who see themselves reflected in her journey.
Yoonchae: The Youngest Voice
The youngest member, Jeong Yoonchae, 17, was raised in Seoul, South Korea. Once quiet during Dream Academy, she has since embraced confidence and authenticity, becoming a standout performer in the group.
