‎Amazon Prime Video Unveils First Look at 'Vought Rising,' The Boys Prequel Featuring 'Soldier Boy' and 'Stormfront'

‎Amazon Prime Video has unveiled an exclusive first look at Vought Rising, the highly anticipated prequel to its hit series The Boys. The newly released image reveals the supersuits of Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Mason Dye as Bombsight, Will Hochman as Torpedo, and Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel.

‎Alongside Ackles, Dye, Hochman, and Posey, Aya Cash returns to the series as Stormfront. The ensemble cast also includes Jorden Myrie, Nicolò Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith. Production on the series has officially commenced.
‎Vought Rising was first ordered by Prime Video in July 2024 and is set in the 1950s, described as a twisted murder mystery. Paul Grellong is the showrunner and executive producer, collaborating with The Boys creator Eric Kripke. Additional executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, and Jim Barnes. Both Cash and Ackles also serve as producers.
‎The prequel is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, alongside Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film. Production wrapped recently on the fifth and final season of The Boys, which has become a breakout hit for Prime Video. The streaming platform continues to expand the franchise with the college-set spin-off Gen V and the animated anthology The Boys Presents: Diabolical.
