Sony pushes 'Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse' to target global summer box office

‎Sony Pictures Animation has officially pushed back the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, now slated to debut in theaters on June 25, 2027. The new date represents a three-week delay from its original June 4, 2027 release, strategically repositioning the highly anticipated sequel to better align with the global summer movie season.

By late June, a greater portion of school-age children in both the United States and key international markets will be on summer break, providing an ideal window for a major animated tentpole release.
