‎Kevin Jonas reflects on financial struggles after Jonas Brothers split: 'I lost nearly everything'

‎Kevin Jonas is opening up about a turbulent chapter in his life marked by financial hardship and hard-earned lessons. Speaking on the School of Greatness podcast with host Lewis Howes, the Jonas Brothers—Nick, Joe, and Kevin—reflected on their journeys through fame, fortune, and the challenges that came with both.

‎During the conversation, Kevin shared a deeply personal account of how misguided investments and failed business partnerships left him with just a fraction of his earnings. “I’ve seen it from every angle,” he said. “From not knowing what money really meant, to gaining financial success, and then nearly losing all of it.”

‎He explained that the financial downturn happened nearly a decade ago, during a period when he had stepped away from the music spotlight. “I lost almost everything,” he admitted. “I had invested in several real estate projects and other ventures. At the time, I thought I was building something great, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the wrong partnership.”
‎
‎Though the specifics of the failed deals remain confidential, Kevin made it clear that the experience left a lasting impression. What followed was a process of re-evaluating not just his financial strategies but also his approach to life. “I never wanted to learn those lessons the way I did,” he said, “but I did, and I’m grateful in a strange way because it gave me a new perspective.”

‎A turning point came when the Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019, following their 2013 split due to creative differences. The comeback was a commercial triumph, marked by the release of their album Happiness Begins and a series of successful global tours.
‎
‎Their journey continues with their upcoming seventh studio album, Greetings From Your Hometown, scheduled for release on August 8 through Republic Records. The group will also headline the Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour, celebrating two decades in the industry. The anniversary tour kicks off in their home state of New Jersey this August and features performances by Marshmello, the All-American Rejects, and Boys Like Girls.
