'Avatar: Seven Havens' unveils first look at new Earthbender Avatar series following Korra

Nickelodeon has unveiled the highly anticipated first look at Avatar: Seven Havens, the newest animated chapter in the acclaimed Avatar: The Last Airbender universe. The artwork was revealed during the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebration at San Diego Comic-Con.

‎Set in a post-cataclysmic era, Seven Havens introduces audiences to twin Earthbenders, one of whom discovers her identity as the next Avatar following Korra. Unlike previous Avatars celebrated as symbols of hope, this young protagonist is feared across a fractured world, believed to be the harbinger of destruction rather than salvation. Pursued by both human factions and hostile spirits, she and her estranged sibling embark on a quest to uncover their origin and restore balance to a world on the edge of collapse.

‎The series promises to blend rich lore with emotional storytelling. In the first released image, the young Avatar appears in a barren desert landscape, accompanied by a hybrid creature reminiscent of a cat-lemur and a loyal companion. A distant city glows on the horizon beneath a sky lit with mysterious energy, hinting at a world full of wonder and danger.

‎San Diego Comic-Con’s special Avatar panel reunited beloved voice talent including Janet Varney (Korra), Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Mae Whitman (Katara), Jack De Sena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Jennie Kwan (Suki), Dante Basco (Zuko), and Dee Bradley Baker (Appa). Composer Jeremy Zuckerman and co-creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino also joined the anniversary tribute, highlighting the enduring legacy of the franchise.

‎Beyond Seven Havens, the Avatar universe continues to expand. Nickelodeon and Paramount are also preparing The Legend of Aang: The Last Avatar, an animated feature film slated for theatrical release on October 9, 2026. The voice cast features Eric Nam as Aang, Jessica Matten as Katara, Roman Zaragoza as Sokka, Dionne Quan as Toph, with Steven Yeun and Dave Bautista set to voice powerful new antagonists.
