Adria Arjona joins Michael B. Jordan in Amazon MGM's 'Thomas Crown Affair'
Adria Arjona has signed on to co-star with Michael B. Jordan in the upcoming cinematic reboot of The Thomas Crown Affair, a high-profile production from Amazon MGM Studios scheduled to premiere in theaters on March 5, 2027. The film is currently in production in London.

Michael B. Jordan not only leads the cast but also directs the film, offering a modern reimagining of Norman Jewison’s 1968 classic, which originally starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. The project reunites Jordan with Amazon MGM following the success of his 2023 directorial debut, Creed III.
The ensemble cast includes Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk, and Aiysha Hart. Adria Arjona steps into the role that had been initially slated for Bones and All actress Taylor Russell, who departed the production due to creative differences.
The updated screenplay comes from Drew Pearce, known for The Fall Guy, who worked off an earlier draft by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson. Jordan produces under his Outlier Society banner alongside Elizabeth Raposo. Charles Roven of Atlas Entertainment joins as a producer, with additional producing support from Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff of Toberoff Productions. Alan Trustman, who wrote the original screenplay in 1968, contributes as executive producer.
The original Thomas Crown Affair earned two Academy Award nominations and centered on an insurance investigator trying to solve a sophisticated bank heist. A successful remake appeared in 1999, with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo in the lead roles.
Arjona brings a robust film and television résumé to the production, having appeared in Disney+’s Andor, the psychological thriller Blink Twice, and Richard Linklater’s action-comedy Hit Man. She will next appear opposite Dakota Johnson in Splitsville, produced by Neon and Topic Studios.
During a presentation at CinemaCon in April, Jordan gave audiences a brief glimpse into his creative approach to the film, promising that his version of The Thomas Crown Affair “isn’t just another remake.”
