Amber Rose reveals why Kanye West dresses his lovers 'provocatively' and reflects on his dark side
In a candid interview on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast, Amber Rose opened up about her past relationship with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, shedding light on why many of Ye's lovers dress provocatively. She specifically discussed Bianca Censori's revealing outfit at the 2025 Grammy Awards, which she suspects was styled by Ye, despite the rapper's denial of involvement.

Rose claims that Ye deliberately chooses provocative outfits for his partners, including herself and Kim Kardashian, to create a sense of desire and attraction. "Kanye is for sure dressing her like that," Rose asserted. "He did the same thing to me and Kim." Rose went further, saying that Ye's motivations are not just about fashion but about fueling his ego. "He wants all his friends to want his girlfriend," she explained, adding that Ye aims for his partner to be the most desirable person in the room.

Reflecting on her own experiences with Ye, Rose admitted that she was young and reluctant to reject his fashion choices. However, she found subtle ways to rebel, often wearing his clothes when out by herself. "I have all his clothes on," she said, referencing photos from that time.
The conversation also touched on Ye and Censori's dramatic appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards, where Censori wore an "invisible" dress after shedding a black fur trench coat. The outfit sparked media attention, but Ye's behavior post-event gained even more notice. He went on a tirade on X (formerly Twitter), where he made inflammatory comments, including praising Hitler and claiming dominion over Censori.
Despite Ye's controversial actions, Rose admitted she still sees the "good side" of him, the one she once loved. "I’ve experienced the good side of him," she said. However, she expressed concern about the people Ye surrounds himself with, saying they enable his darker tendencies and prevent him from reaching his full potential. "He’s not living at his full potential," she remarked, adding that Ye lacks someone maternal who could guide him toward making better decisions.
Though Rose never met Ye's late mother, Donda West, she believes that only Donda truly understood how to support her son emotionally. "I feel bad when I see things that he does sometimes," she shared, reflecting on how Ye's current environment may be contributing to his struggles.
