‎Rodríguez, 29, appears deeply candid in the March 15 teaser, stating: “Over 40 million people follow me, but no one knows how I really feel.” She continues, “This year, I had the best and the worst moment of my life in an instant.”
‎The tragedy occurred in April 2022, when Rodríguez and Ronaldo were expecting twins. While their daughter, Bella, survived, their son, Ángel, tragically died during childbirth. At the time, the couple issued a heartfelt joint statement:
‎“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”
‎The second season of I Am Georgina follows the Argentina-born influencer as she processes the immense grief while embracing her role as a mother and public figure. “Life is hard. Life goes on,” Rodríguez says in the trailer. “I have reasons to move on and be strong.”
‎Ronaldo, 38, who has been in a relationship with Rodríguez since 2016, played a pivotal role in her healing journey. In the trailer, she shares his encouragement: “He said, ‘Gio, get on with your life. It’ll do you good.’” She adds, “My priority right now is my family and my children. I’m so happy and thankful.”
‎The couple, already parents to daughter Alana (5), welcomed twins in October 2021 with the joyous announcement: “Delighted to announce we are expecting twins…Our hearts are full of love.”
‎Though the family endured unspeakable pain, they continued to share Bella’s homecoming and thanked fans for their support. “Home sweet home,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram in April 2022. “Your support is very important and we all felt the love.”
‎In a candid November 2022 interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo revealed how the family honors Ángel’s memory daily. “The kids say, ‘Daddy, I did this for Ángel,’ and they point to the sky,” he said, emphasizing the importance of honesty and remembrance in their healing process. “I never felt to be happy and sad in the same moment… it is hard to explain.”
‎Season 2 of I Am Georgina promises a heartfelt exploration of grief, resilience, and love. Through raw emotion and strength, Rodríguez shares a story of loss—and the enduring power of family.
