New 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Trailer Teases Peter Parker’s Isolated Life After No Way Home

‎Sony Pictures has unveiled a new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, bringing Tom Holland back to the big screen as Spider-Man/Peter Parker. The latest collaboration between Sony and Marvel is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 31.

‎Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film takes place four years after the events of 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home. According to the official logline, Peter Parker is now living a very different life after erasing himself from the memories of those closest to him.

‎Peter is living alone and is "crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name," per the film’s official logline. "He’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced."

‎Alongside Holland, returning cast members include Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal and Michael Mando. The upcoming installment also adds Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colon-Zayas and Marvin Jones II to the ensemble.

‎Footage previously shown at CinemaCon offered audiences a glimpse of Zendaya’s MJ with a new romantic interest, prompting Parker to realize that she has moved on.

‎Anticipation for the film has continued to grow, with each new preview generating strong reactions from fans. The previous trailer set a major record by becoming the first movie trailer to surpass 1 billion views. Released on March 17, it reached the milestone in only four days and had already accumulated more than 718 million views within its first 24 hours.

‎Sony chairman Tom Rothman praised the film during CinemaCon, saying, "It’s as big as anything we’ve ever made, and yet it feels like nothing we’ve ever made. And it has Tom Holland — and I can say this because I’ve seen the movie — in his finest performance."
